Hey gang, here we are, another day, another unleashing of emotions. Some of you may be tiring of my expressions of grief and other emotions. If so, please know that I wonβt stop with this anytime soon. Soβ¦sorry about that. But I happen to know that although I may still find happiness in life, Iβll also not be likely to get over the pain of loss. Neither will prevent the other.
As you have all witnessed over the last months, I am on this journey, yet repeatedly complain and wonder why I am doing this, and why like this? Well maybe Iβll take a moment to talk about that today.
What?
I am a technicolor rainbow enigmatic robot from the future. Haha! No, I am a musician, artist, and writer. I first started working under the persona of Sarenrae back in March of this year primarily with music β and, well I was surprised by the potential. So I started officially releasing it, and then launched my FB/IG pages.
A lot has happened since then. For one, I have shared a lot more images than I ever expected to. That wasnβt originally part of the plan here. Yet has been its own rewarding and infuriating experience all by itself. I know a lot of you are here because of these images β which is both excellent and frustrating. Rant on that another day though.
Why?
Again originally this was an attempt to work through my own grieving, using music and words that poured out of my soul. It helped a lot, and I think connected with some of you! Since then, I have realized that my platform is not only around loss and grief, but also around sexual assault, womenβs rights, and LGBTQ rights.
These are causes that I have always cared for β but my experiences on this page have warranted a shift in my thinking. Not sure what it means for Sarenrae to create art that aims to bring awareness to sexual harassment and assault β well that isnβt completely true. Androids in America, for example. This song is π»πΌπ meant to glamorize submissive robotic sex acts. Rant for another day.
