I Love My Family

Just want to say... I love my family. And my goodness does that ever happen to include my "in-laws". They are the sweetest, most generous people I know. The fact that they raised my wife to be the amazing, compassionate, warm soul that she was, well that made it easy to start loving them.

They have changed my life so significantly since meeting my wife in ways that go way beyond the fact that they were just so loving and supportive of us from day one. I think they could tell we were bonafide soulmates and their enthusiasm only bolstered our unfolding love story as we felt free to follow our hearts.

Since my wife Shelyn's passing, these amazing humans continue to brighten my dark days and are right there with me in the toughest moments when I'm sorely missing my her. And maybe for another day - I'll have to tell you about how these guys help make all of this Sarenrae stuff possible. Not sure how much they want me to tell you.

So really why I'm saying this at all...I won't elaborate too much... but let's just say I haven't been taking perfect care of my living space lately... aaand they all just surprised me yesterday and worked for like 10 hours (yikes) to help me get my house back into proper shape! I promise it wasn't hoarder level, but I wouldn't want to share what it looked like either! Anyway they're just the best and I will forever feel like I'm part of the clan.

And THEN … my mama came over this morning and we pulled all the stupid weeds and did yard work for a couple of hours. I think we planned on this, but I forgot, so it too was a surprise! Hard work, but worth it. Wow my house must have been a disaster to behold, haha.

To top it all off, I still had the energy to meet up with a friend for a run this morning – and… haha in true Sarenrae fashion…my friend caught me posing a little just before we took off…aaand then I edited the photo a bit after, haha.
